Both the brother (Umair) and sister (Muneeba) who sustained injuries in the tragic incident of Sahiwal have been discharged from the Lahore General Hospital (LGH). On Monday, in the presence of Principal Prof Mohammad Tayyab, a six-member medical board conducted the medical checkup of the two children and declared them physically.

The medical board was of comprised of Prof Farooq Afzal, Prof Altaf Qadir, Prof Agha Shabbir Ali, Associate Professor Amina Javed, MS Dr. Mahmud Salah Uddin and Director Emergency Dr Rana Mohammad Shafique. Prof Mohammad Tayyab said that counselling of the children will continue at their residence and female Psychiatrist has been assigned duty who will visit them on daily basis. He added that this will help the victims to come out of the trauma they faced. He said it was our moral and official duty to extend all sort of cooperation to the victims.

On this occasion, the relatives of Umair and Muneeba expressed satisfaction over the treatment given to them. They said that doctors and nurses of the LGH extended full cooperation and they have no complaint in this regard. MS LGH Dr Mahmodd Salauddin said that both the children have been handed over to their uncle Muhammad Jalil.
